Chairman Oded Revivi of the Efrat local council said, Tuesday morning, "I support the prime minister's position to grant building permits to Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, but this must be done alongside rigid and uncompromising enforcement policies against illegal construction and, on the other hand, to support strengthening the settlement in area of the Land of Israel called Judea and Samaria."
Revivi said that in recent years there has been a trend of rising construction starts in Judea and Samaria, but construction should be more massive in Israeli communities. In addition, Revivi noted that he has no desire to strangle Palestinian life and has an interest in building on the Palestinian side be regulated as well.
