Arutz Sheva has learned that the construction plans for Area C of Judea and Samaria that have been placed before the Cabinet over the last two days, include the construction of some 700 residential units for Palestinian Authority residents, alongside some 6,000 units for Israelis that will reach the Supreme Planning Committee for Settlement in Judea and Samaria.
The authority to decide on construction for Jews is in the hands of Prime Minister Netanyahu in his capacity as Minister of Defense. Approval of the plans for the Arabs also has to pass through the cabinet, which has not been required for a number of years. According to estimates in the settlement enterprise, the prime minister wants to create the move, which also includes Palestinian construction, in full coordination with the United States administration, which is currently engaged in efforts to advance its "Deal of the Century".
