McDonald's Israel has won a tender to operate restaurants selling hamburgers in Terminal 3, and hamburger stands in Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport for the next seven years with an option to extend the period by twenty-four months.
The 17-million-shekel bid was way above those of Burger Ranch and Burger King and overcame a boycott by opponents of McDonalds refusal to open branches beyond the 1949 Armistice Line.
