Chairman Arthur Stark and Executive Vice Chairman/CEO Malcolm Hoenlein of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations said on Monday, "We are reminded that there is far more that needs to be done in order to insure the safety and security of synagogues and other Jewish communal spaces," following Saturday's fatal attack on Chabad of Poway.

A Conference of Presidents statement continued, "We expect that law enforcement, on the local, state, and federal levels, will investigate this incident not in isolation, but rather as yet another of the string of horrific and brutal anti-Semitic attacks which have occurred across the country. There also must be action that enhances the early warning capacity of law enforcement agencies, more effort must be made for prevention, and, where possible, funds to enable training, added security equipment and personnel should be facilitated." The statement closed, "We trust the American people and those of good will and decency everywhere will join us in declaring 'Never Again'.”
