Nazi hunter Efraim Zuroff, director of the Simon Wiesenthal Institute in Jerusalem, has told Arutz Sheva that he is furious at the antisemitic cartoon published in The New York Times, in which President Trump was presented as a blind person wearing a skullcap, leading a guide dog - Prime Minister Netanyahu - with a Star of David on his neck.
Zuroff says that the publication of such a caricature at such a time is a disaster: "We are before Holocaust Remembrance Day and not long after Passover when there was a lot of blood libel against Jews at this time. It's hard to imagine that a respected newspaper like the New York Times would publish such a thing. It's classic anti-Semitism as if the Jews are running America, control Wall Street and the media. It's no wonder that after such a cartoon someone enters a synagogue in San Diego and shoots Jews." Zuroff said, "I call to cancel the newspaper subscription and that's what I intend to do myself."
