The Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial institution in Jerusalem expressed deep concern, Sunday, "over the violent anti-Semitic incidents against Jews and Jewish symbols around the world that we have witnessed recently."
Condemning Saturday's attack on a synagogue in California, a Yad Vashem statement warned "of the danger of disseminating incitement in various media: print, electronic and digital media, And especially in the social networks that serve as a breeding ground for violent events stemming from anti-Semitism and hatred of the other." The statement concluded, "The memory of the Holocaust and its significance are more relevant today than ever in all parts of the world."
