Chairman Rafi Peretz held a telephone conversation last night with other members of the Jewish Home Party to consider whether to continue with the partnership with Member of Knesset Bezalel Smotrich's National Union following serious disagreements over the list of demands Smotrich gave Likud negotiators in coalition talks, according to Yediot Ahronot..

A Monday-night conference call between Smotrich and Rabbi Peretz's men was canceled in protest of Smotrich's conduct, including the fact that he presented demands to the Likud without consulting Peretz or receiving his consent. A Peretz associate said "Smotrich presented demands that do not exist at all. he should remember that we are 4 and he is 3." In the case of the split Smotrich will remain with MK Ophir Sofer alone, while the Jewish home will remain with 4 seats.
