Chairman Yisrael Gantz of the Binyamin Regional Council has eulogized Rabbi Achiad Ettinger, who was killed in Sunday's terror attack, with the question "Where else in the world is there a person with 12 children who hears that there is shooting and turns around to help?"
Speaking at Rabbi Ettinger's funeral, Gantz also said, "I saw the blood stains and how you were wounded, and after hours I understood that all your life you wanted to be a bridge between the settlement of Eli and the people of Israel in Tel Aviv, between the Torah of Israel and apparently on the way of God searching for bridges. We will not be consoled [merely with] the security forces putting their hand on the terrorist, but only that this bridge will continue to strengthen the people of Israel and the Land of Israel."
