The Likud Party said, Tuesday morning, that Histadrut Labor Federation Chairman Avi Nissenkorn, a candidate for Knesset on the Blue and White ticket, "will be the finance minister of Lapid and Gantz and he will return the State of Israel to the economy of the Histadrut that will go on strike against the state and harm the citizens of Israel."
Likud was responding to a report that Blue and White candidate Gabi Ashkenazi said things to the contrary while conceding that voters have expressed concern about Nissenkorn's union background.
