Congressman Lee Zeldin (R-NY) wrote on Twitter, Sunday, "Would be amazing to see US Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell as the next US ambassador to the United Nations to replace Nikki Haley."
Writing in the wake of State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert's withdrawal from consideration, Zeldin called the former US spokesman at the UN, "smart, principled, experienced & highly capable of being one of the best and most effective ever to hold this position."
