Member of Knesset Stav Shafir (Zionist Union) has asked Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to investigate the conduct of Prime Minister and Defense Minister in the keeping of the Jewish Home Party in the coalition following a report that the head of the National Security Council was recruited to prevent Jewish Home Chairman Bennett from resigning.
Shafir wrote, "If the prime minister ordered a senior defense adviser to the government to carry out a task that is mainly political, while mixing dangerously between the security needs and the political interests of the prime minister, this is contempt for the defense establishment and the role of the professionals."
