Chairman Gadi Yarkoni of the Eshkol Regional Council opposite southern Gaza told Israel Defense Forces Radio this morning that "a military operation is definitely the last resort. But if the miracle did not happen and yesterday they agreed on the arrangement, and tomorrow or the day after tomorrow we find ourselves in the same situation as in the past six months - we must act."
Yarkoni stressed that "if you have to absorb a military operation in order to achieve quiet - the people here are ready."
