Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein asked haredi-religious Knesset Finance Committee Chairman Moshe Gafni how he was doing Tuesday morning, after Gafni was attacked on Monday evening by members of the extremist Peleg Yerushalmi Jerusalem Faction over his stance on legislation regarding haredi enlistment in the Israel Defense Forces.

After the call, Edelstein said, "I remind the rioters who smashed the windows of his car, and in a few hours they will say with tremendous intent, 'We were guilty, we betrayed': for offenses between a person and his fellow man, Yom Kippur does not provide atonement. This is not the way to achieve any goal, and this is not the way to conduct an argument."
