Arab sources have told Yediot Ahronot that Hamas is examining the possibility of a senior delegation from the organization, led by deputy leader Salah Al-'Aruri, arriving in Gaza on Thursday to discuss the Egyptian proposal for a renewed implementation of the reconciliation agreement with Fatah and attempts to reach a long-term arrangement with Israel. The sources say Al-'Aruri received guarantees from Egypt and the UN envoy in the Middle East, Nickolay Mladenov, that Israel would not harm him while he was in Gaza.
