Chairwoman Shuli Moalem Refaeli of the Jewish Home Knesset faction has called for a stop to preparations to demolish homes in the Netiv Haavot neighborhood of the Judean Jewish community of Elazar, currently scheduled for next month under a Supreme Court order.

Visiting the neighborhood on Tuesday morning, she asked, "How can it be possible to bring heavy equipment and carry out work to create a path for the eviction and implement seizure orders while explaining that the same equipment cannot get to parcel 91 to set up alternative homes for families first because there are 'obstacles and difficulties'?" Calling the eviction "unnecessary", Moalem Refaeli said opponents of the demolition have not given up on legal and other attempts "to stop the injustice," saying, "The government must stand by its word and not abandon the residents."
