In a meeting between Coalition Chairman David Bitan, Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked and Chairwoman Shuli Moalem-Refaeli of the Jewish Home Knesset faction, it was agreed that the coalition would postpone the debate on French law for a month. The bill would ban investigations of a sitting prime minister although it would not apply to investigations under way involving Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
It was further agreed that the law against the publication of police recommendations to prosecute cases will be brought before the Ministerial Committee on Legislation, with each faction voting according to its conscience.
