Member of Knesset Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin (Zionist Union) made an urgent request on Tuesday that Health Minister Yaakov Litzman allocate two weeks for the mediation time between the doctors and management of the Hemato-Oncology Department at the Hadassah Medical Center.
The parents of the children in the department sought to serve as mediators to end the crisis which saw six senior doctors quit in early March. Nahmias-Verbin noted that if the crisis is not solved, the parents' distress will increase and they intend to appeal to the Supreme Court to intervene in the matter.
