Goldin: Hamas corpse traffic disastrous

Professor Simcha Goldin, the father of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin, whose body has been held by Hamas in Gaza since 2014, says "The bodies of [soldier] Oron [Shaul] and Hadar and the civilians Hamas has been holding for a long time have gone from being an asset to being a burden. The equation has been reversed. The international community has already made that clear to the heads of Hamas, and that includes Hamas's biggest allies like Qatar and Turkey."

Interviewed by Israeli Arab media, Goldin said, "I have a message to the people of Gaza: From what we know as a family, in recent months, Hamas has rejected offers from Israel and other mediators that would significantly rehabilitate life in the [Gaza] Strip. If the residents of the Gaza Strip knew what proposals Hamas refused, a civil coup in the style of the Arab Spring would take place in the Strip. In the name of trafficking in corpses, the Hamas leadership is leading the Gaza Strip to disaster."
