Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel apologized for the recent violent events in Umm al-Hiran during which a resident of the village and a policeman were killed. While visiting Rahat in southern Israel, Ariel said, "If there was a failure on our part in Umm al-Hiran I apologize deeply. There were serious failures here."
