Opposition leader and chairman of the Labor faction within the Zionist Union, Yitzhak Herzog responded to a picture of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a noose at Jerusalem's Betzalel Institute of Art by saying, "Freedom of expression is important and necessary, but it is out of place to use it to incite harm to public leaders on the right or the left. During these days of militancy, we are committed to responsibility. This is not our way, We will only replace Netanyahu through democratic means."
Zionist Union Member of Knesset Itzik Shmuli expressed similar sentiments.
