A bill to normalize the status of unrecognized Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria will receive its first reading in the Knesset on Monday, apparently without a clause to apply the law retroactively to existing court rulings.
The coalition tends to agree with a demand by Chairmen Binyamin Netanyahu of the Likud party and Moshe Kahlon of Kulanu to remove the clause, based on the belief that it will not pass the test of the Supreme Court or of international law if it includes the clause. The coalition is working hard to find a creative solution specifically for Amona.
