Chairman Robert Ilatov of the Yisrael Beytenu Knesset faction called, Monday, on Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to accept a request, made two weeks ago, to investigate Member of Knesset Ahmed Tibi (Joint Arab List) for incitement.
Ilatov's initial request followed an interview on Hezbollah-associated Al-Meeyadeen TV of Lebanon, in which Ilatov claims Tibi called on Palestinian Authority residents and Israeli Arabs to revolt against his law to ban the use of loudspeakers for the call to prayer at mosques between the hours of 11pm and 7am. Ilatov claimed Tibi's call was responsible for the arson blamed for a large part of the just-concluded wave of fires in Israel.
