An Amtrak train derailed by the US city of Philadelphia, according to the BBC. The train was on route from New York City to Savannah, Georgia.
It hit a mechanical digger and was knocked off the track.
A total of 348 people were aboard at the time, including 341 passengers and seven members of the crew. There are unconfirmed reports that two people were killed in the accident.
