The U.S. Treasury Department on Monday dropped its sanctions against the only resident American citizen believed to be labeled a “specially designated terrorist”, The Hill reported. Mohammed Salah, a resident of Illinois, was designated a terrorist in 1995, for allegedly having ties to Hamas, according to a lawsuit filed in September. As a result, all of his financial assets were frozen.
