The Plesner Committee responded on Sunday evening to the resignation of Attorney Yaakov Weinroth from the committee, which is tasked with forming alternatives to the now-expired Tal Law.
“Attorney Weinroth probably thought he could turn the Plesner Committee into a committee which will formulate the second Tal Law,” said a statement by the committee. “When he realized that the committee intends to recommend an alternative with a powerful enforcement tool that will enable a real change, he is trying to de-legitimize the conclusions of the committee before they are even made public.”
