A meeting began, shortly before 3:00 Sunday afternoon in Jerusalem's Ramot neighborhood, between French ambassador Christophe Bigot and Rabbi Ovadia Yoseph.

On the agenda was the release of a terrorist with French citizenship under the second phase of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange. The terrorist is being held for planning to assassinate the former Sephardic chief rabbi.
