Police are concerned that Sunday evening's attempt by a terrorist from Shechem to attack a Tel Aviv nightclub was a preview of things to come toward the end of next month, when the Palestinian Authority is scheduled to apply to the United Nations for recognition as a sovereign state. Eight people were wounded, two of them seriously, one critically, when the terrorist stabbed and tried to run over people with a taxi he hijacked.

Police fear that the threat comes from terror groups and individuals.
