A policeman was lightly wounded when an Arab purposely hit him with his car Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred in the village of Baka el-Gharbiyeh, not far from Hadera.
Police asked the driver to pull over on Highway 6, the Trans-Israel toll road, not far from Baka el-Gharbiyeh. The driver got away but was then stopped by police inside the town. As one of the policemen got out of the squad car to check the Arab's vehicle, the man began driving wildly in his direction and hit his leg, hurting him lightly. The driver was later arrested.
On Thursday, a Bedouin driver ran over and killed a policeman in Mitzpeh Ramon.
