The IDF has widened the strip of territory next to the Israeli border with Egypt into which Israeli civilians may not venture, besides closing off Highway 10.

According to the army's new directives, Israelis may not come within five kilometers of the southern border.

IDF Radio reported that Egyptian security forces are attempting to prevent Gazan vehicles from crossing into Egypt through Rafiah.
