(IsraelNN.com) The IDF has declared that Highway 10, southeast of Gaza and next to the Egyptian border, is now closed military zone. It also has banned hiking in the area without previous permission from the army.

The army issued the orders following the stampede of Gaza residents into Egypt after terrorists blew up the barrier separating the divided city of Rafiah. Intelligence and military officials said the closure of Highway 10 is a result of the presence of terrorists who crossed into Egypt and the Sinai Peninsula.

Egypt says it arrested 15 Hamas militants within its borders Thursday. Earlier this week, Egypt said it arrested five Gaza terrorists who were on their way to stage a suicide bombing attack against Israel.
