MDA to Open Ashdod Blood Donation Site

(IsraelNN.com) Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's emergency medical service, announced Monday it would be taking blood donations in MDA's station in the southern port city of Ashdod. The blood donation room will be open from 3 PM to 8 PM daily.
The need for a donation site in Ashdod became pressing after MDA received numerous requests from potential donors in the southern region.
MDA's current drive for blood donations is a result of a shortage caused by the numerous organ transplant operations performed in the past holiday week.
