Magen David Adom has issued a request asking the public to donate blood. Officials in the national emergency medical service explained that Israel’s blood supplies are extremely low.
Officials explained that the need for blood was a result of the many organ transplant operations performed in the past week. Hundreds of units of blood were used during the operations, they said.
