AOC and millennial antisemitism
AOC and millennial antisemitism

You could argue that they simply don’t know any better.

According to the US Census Bureau, 83.1 million millennials walk among us at this very moment. There might be one in your home or basement right now.

Millennials are people who arrived between 1982 and 2000. (Thanks to the New York Post’s Maureen Callahan for the stats and inspiration; Baby Boomers are her beef.)

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez strikes me as the one who typifies a certain number and certain kind of millennial. I think I’m wrong. I hope I’m wrong.

I know I’m wrong when you think of the millions who serve the nation as soldiers, as police, as firefighters, as moms and dads raising a family and minding their own business.

Call them the upcoming Silent Majority, so those are not the ones who make the news and steer our politics and stamp our culture.

For that, stand back for AOC, together with Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley, the Four Ingrates, and fellow travelers.

Soon, the rest of us will be gone and the nation and the world will be theirs to run and play with; if you recall Charlie Chaplin twirling the globe on his fingertips.

Do they know Chaplin? Do they know ELVIS Presley?

They don’t know Johnny Carson. So how can they know Theodor Herzl? They don’t know Frank Sinatra. So how can they know Golda Meir?

They don’t know the Civil War, so how can they know the Holocaust? It wasn’t in a curriculum that featured, instead, feminism, Marxism, social consciousness, and Angela Davis.

They emphatically do not know Trump…who hit the nerve of truth when he declared that Jews who vote for Democrats are being disloyal…to themselves. (“To thine own self be true?”)

Tlaib and Omar think it’s time to “start a discussion” on Israel, but only if they can do all the talking.

They were taught never to celebrate our country’s virtues, but only to magnify its flaws.
The French philosopher Jean Paul Sartre said it’s useless talking to antisemites because there is no reasoning with subhumans. (Geraldo comes to mind.)

In no way are these our millennials. But too many of them were raised and educated to be spoiled brats.

They were taught never to celebrate our country’s virtues, but only to magnify its flaws.

The world is simply not perfect enough for them.

A typical photo of AOC – along with the other Ingrates – finds her typically angry and miserable, and in the act of bitchery. She is a scold.

We can’t seem to do enough to please her – her and her generation, which is expected to introduce bliss once they take over – which can’t come soon enough, if you ask Oprah, who in a disputed quote, here, did say that for racism and prejudice to end, “old people just have to die.”

Sounds terrific…except that every day we find young people roundly capable of racism and prejudice, notably here and here Tlaib and Omar.

This is what’s coming?

The New York Post says yes, in an editorial that is vastly disturbing, because it may be too true. Focused on those two Congressional Ingrates, the headline reads –

“Dems are heading for a complete split with Israel.”

Take that to mean those millennials who think they’re onto something new, when in fact it’s the same old prejudice all over again.

Who wants to stick around to watch that happening?
