A female Border Police officer was moderately wounded in a shooting attack earrly Sunday morning near the Arab village of Sinjil, north of the town of Ofra in the Binyamin region. Apparently, she was hit by sniper fire emanating from the Arab village.
She was treated on the scene and taken to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem. Security forces are searching the area.
The Israel Police said, "A short time ago, a terrorist fired at a force that was operating in the area of the village of Sinjil. Security Forces and the IDF are at the point and are searching the area."
"As a result of the shooting, a female Border Security officer was injured and was taken to hospital for medical treatment. Her family has been notified."
