Combat soldiers of the 50th Battalion of the 460th Brigade, exposed one of the largest stockpiles of weapons, near a medical clinic and school in northern Gaza.

The stockpile contained hundreds of missiles, various types of RPG launchers, dozens of anti-tank missiles and explosive charges, long-range missiles aimed to the center of Israel, dozens of grenades and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The weapons were seized by the soldiers. Some were destroyed on-site and some were sent for further investigation.

All of the terrorist infrastructure was found close to civilian buildings in the heart of a civilian population.

"This is additional proof of Hamas’ cynical use of the residents of the Gaza Strip as human shields," an IDF spokesperson said.

On Tuesday, IDF Chief of Staff Major General Herzi Halevi addressed the media on the fighting situation in the south and north, the tragic death of Yuval Kestelman, and the security situation in Judea and Samaria.

"After 60 days since the outbreak of the war, our forces are encircling the Khan Yunis area in the south of Gaza. At the same time, we continue to intensify achievements in the north of Gaza as well. Whoever thought that the IDF would not know how to resume fighting at the end of the ceasefire – was wrong, and Hamas is feeling this very well," said Halevi.

He described the fighting in Gaza: "In recent days, many operatives, including senior Hamas commanders, have been killed. We have recently moved to the third phase of the maneuver and taken over many Hamas strongholds in the north of Gaza. We are operating against the centers of gravity in the south. We are operating professionally; evacuating the population ahead of time from the battle zones; we are attacking Hamas from above and below ground, with combined attacks from the air, sea and land; we are bringing our ground forces into the fighting using very high quality and powerful intelligence and fire, with a high level of accuracy."

"Our forces are meeting many terrorists and harming them effectively with a level of professionalism that is certainly impressive. Our forces include members of the Shin Bet, with its capabilities. Our forces have representatives from all sections of the IDF. This partnership really builds strength on the battlefield," added the Chief of Staff.
