16-year-old Amit Shani, who was abducted by terrorists from his home in Be'eri on October 7th, was discharged on Sunday from the hospital.
The staff at Schneider Children's Medical Center were exhilarated together with him and his family from his progress.
Amit was discharged today after being treated in the Captive Returnees Department at Schneider Children's Medical Center, a member of Clalit Health Services, since his return home last Thursday, November 30th, in the early hours of the morning.
Since his arrival, the medical and psychosocial teams at Schneider enveloped him with care and emotional support.
Amit celebrated his birthday in captivity. He was abducted in front of his mother and young sisters in his home in Be'eri on October 7th. At around 11:30 a.m., he began sending pleas for help on WhatsApp and said that terrorists were attempting to break into the house. Terrorists broke in, tied up Amit, lit the house on fire, and took him with them.
