The Commanding Officer of the IDF Southern Command, Yaron Finkelman, has decided to put an end to the graffiti by soldiers fighting in the Gaza Strip.

Finkelman intervened after the soldiers sprayed political slogans on walls in Gaza.

In recent days, footage from Gaza has been circulating, showing graffiti on walls such as "Ben-Gvir, you were right, sorry" and "Gush Katif, were coming home, we won't forget, we won't forgive."

According to Kan military correspondent Roy Sharon, Finkelman has instructed troops to only make tactical markings, such as those that indicate the locations of command centers.

Earlier on Thursday, the IDF announced that the 401st Brigade combat team found four tunnel shafts of significant depth in an area on the outskirts of Jabalya from which heavy mortar fire was launched toward Israel.

These tunnel shafts used by the Hamas terrorist organization, which are connected to the electrical network, converged at a central tunnel shaft located in a building connected to a senior Hamas operative.

Additionally, a large number of weapons were found in numerous bedrooms and under children's beds in a building linked to another senior Hamas operative.
