Chairman of the National Camp, MK Benny Gantz toured the Golan Heights today (Tuesday). Gantz received an overview of Division 210 and met with the head of the Golan Regional Council, Haim Rokah and Katsrin Mayor Dimi Apartsev

"We are in extremely sensitive days for Israeli society. The return of the hostages is a moral commandment and also an integral part of the resilience that allows us to win the war. It is important to say that especially these days – the entire Israeli society, all tribes, right and left - are praying and wishing for the safe return of the girls and boys. Every effort is being made to return them home as soon as possible," Gantz said at the end of the tour.

He emphasized that "at the same time, we will continue to fight and stand guard until we bring about a change in the security situation in the south - and it will take as long as it takes."

Gantz referred to the continued clashes with Hezbollah on the northern border. "We are conducting a campaign in the north as well. We are ready and prepared for any expansion of the fighting that will be required to allow the residents of the north to return home safely. Lebanon and Syria bear the responsibility for firing from their territory - and we will continue to strike anywhere and in any area from which they try to attack us.

So far, tens of thousands of Lebanese residents have fled their homes to the north of the country. I suggest to Nasrallah not to turn South Lebanon into the North of the Gaza Strip. Not to risk Beirut for Tehran. If the fire continues, the fighting will intensify."
