A stabbing attack was thwarted Tuesday afternoon, after a terrorist armed with a knife neared the gate of the Binyamin Region town of Ofra on Tuesday - and was identified by IDF forces.
After identifying the terrorist near the town's gate, the forces opened fire at him, and the terrorist escaped towards Ein Yabrud.
Israeli security forces are currently pursuing the terrorist, who is still at large.
In Ofra itself, normal routines continue. There are no special instructions for the residents.
Binyamin Council head Israel Ganz, who is at the scene, sent a message to terrorists warning that "no one should dare come close to our towns. Whoever does such a thing will be shot at - with the intention to kill."
