Senior Lebanese officials, including politicians and media personalities affiliated with Hezbollah, are furious with senior Hamas leader Khaled Mashal, who called for full hostilities on the country's border with Israel to assist the terror organizations in Gaza.
In an interview with the Lebanese channel, Aljadid, Lebanese reporter Faisal Abd Alsatar said, "It makes no sense that someone sits in a luxury hotel in the Gulf states and has the gall to tell Hezbollah that it's not doing enough."
Wiam Wahab, a local politician, added: "Mashal intervened in the Arab Spring, the destructive spring which wanted to ruin and weaken the Arab world. If Khaled Mashal has 30 billion dollars, let him give it to us, and then maybe we can join the war."
Mashal is not loved in Hezbollah and in Lebanon in general. In the past, officials from the organization refused to host him for a visit in Beirut.
