Hundreds of people demonstrated Saturday evening in front of the Netanya College against Arab students, who they claim threw eggs at worshipers in the Chabad synagogue located in front of the academic institution, chanted slogans, and played loud music during Shabbat.

Mayor of Netanya Miriam Feirberg-Ikar said that "following a riot that occurred in the dormitories at Netanya College, this evening I demanded that the college management immediately vacate the student dormitories and bring the rioters to justice."

The former deputy mayor of Netanya, MK Eli Dallal, said, "I support and reinforce the demand of my friend, the mayor of Netanya, Mrs. Miriam Feirberg-Ikar, and my friend, Prof. Hart, to vacate the college's dormitories. The school year was postponed to December and there is no problem with the evacuation now, to restore peace to the college area."

"I have now spoken with the commander of the Netanya police station and the students will be evacuated tonight. We are in tense days with a lot of anger and nerves, and at the same time we must all show restraint and good temper and not spread conflicts. I trust the police to bring the culprits to justice."
