A man in his 20s was wounded in a suspected terrorist stabbing attack in the Givat HaMivtar neighborhood of Jerusalem Thursday night.

The attack occurred at a light rail station in the neighborhood. The victim was treated by Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah medics and paramedics who evacuated him to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in light condition.

The stabber has been neutralized.

United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Moshe Arevlich who was one of the first responders at the scene said, "I treated one person for a stab wound and stopped the bleeding. After he was stabilized at the scene, he was transported by ambulance to the hospital while fully conscious. At the time of transport, he was in light condition."

The police said: "The terrorist who carried out the stabbing attack this evening at the light rail station in Givat Hambatar was a 19-year-old resident of eastern Jerusalem. The terrorist, who was seriously injured, was arrested by the police and taken to receive medical treatment. He was neutralized by gunfire seconds after the attack by two light rail security guards at the passenger platform."
