A shooting in southern Baltimore, Maryland has left dozens dead or injured.
Local police say they were called to the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood of southern Baltimore, in the 800 block of Gretna Avenue.
Witnesses tell Fox News that 20 to 30 shots were fired during the incident. One of the witnesses repeated: "It just went on and on."
According to reports in the United States, the circumstances of the shooting are still unclear but are under investigation. The shooting, according to the reports, took place during a "Brooklyn Day" convention in which hundreds of people were estimated to have participated.
According to the local police, ten were evacuated via ambulances to the hospitals and at least 19 others were taken to the hospitals independently.
The crime scene is reported to span multiple blocks.
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott stated: "I want those who are responsible to hear me and hear me very clearly. We will not stop until we find you, and we will find you. Until then, I hope with every single breath that you take that you think about the lives that you took and you think about the lives that you impacted here tonight."
""We will not stop until we find those cowards who decided to just shoot dozens of people, causing two people to lose their lives, and we're going to be here until we find them."
Scott noted that every agency in the city was offering its assistance, and urged the public to help the investigation as well. "Treat this as if it were your family and how you would want people to treat it if you were mourning, if this was your neighborhood, if was an event in your community that this happened at. We want you to treat it that way because that's how we have to treat each other as Baltimoreans," said Scott.
