The University of Delaware has opened an investigation after a Jewish professor found a poster on Monday morning with a swastika and the phrase “We Are Everywhere” hung on her office door, Delaware Online reported.

An email sent to staff by the chair of the English department said that university police were notified about the incident and are in possession of the poster.

University Police Chief Patrick Ogden said that besides a detective, "everyone from our criminal investigative unit is also following leads on this,” according to the news outlet.

Ogden added that they had not identified a suspect or a motive but noted that in November, an antisemitic quote from Kanye West was found on a classroom blackboard, that to some appeared to be a death threat.

The university has a history of serious antisemitic incidents. Two years ago, the campus Chabad center was torched, resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damage.

The August 2020 blaze, which resulted in repair costs estimated at $150,000-$200,000, was ruled an arson by the state fire marshal. The blaze required 45 firefighters, including from neighboring fire companies, to bring the fire under control, according to local media reports.
