The cataclysmic events that have been plaguing mankind generally, and the Jewish people in particular, have generated a 'search for answers' by leaders whose conventional efforts and methods in attempting to solve ever-worsening world problems are proving to be an exercise in futility.

In stark contrast to the 'blame game' in which nations today are engaged, Torah Judaism teaches that when a catastrophe occurs, both individually and collectively, Jews are obligated to undergo a sincere cheshbon nefesh (soul- searching), to determine which transgression was committed that may have brought about the terrible misfortune. Thus, in seeking to find the reason that there seems to be no solution to ongoing Arab terrorism in Eretz Yisrael, the Jewish homeland, Israel's newly reelected Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, who seemingly believes that the 'cure -all' for what ails our implacable enemies is the establishment of a 'palestinian state', should instead search out the transgressions committed by his government ( as well as those of his predecessors) that have brought such calamity upon the Jewish people. Since the ill-fated Oslo Accords, Arab terrorism has resulted in the murders of over l,300 Israelis and the wounding of over more than 5,000 others.

Is there any normal country on the face of the earth whose leaders would agree to resurrect a bloody terrorist and his murderous cohorts, concede to them large segments of its sacred land, as well as a great deal of funds, provide them with weaponry, which is then used to kill its own soldiers and civilians? And then, on top of this, our leaders would reward the terrorists with a 23rd Arab state called 'palestine', from which their nefarious terrorist activities can continue unabated. This bizarre scenario is considered to be part of the so-called 'peace process' by a succession of Israel's leaders.

It should be painfully apparent at this late date, that the ongoing Arab-Israeli conflagration cannot be resolved by capitulating to pressure by "our friends and allies", who call for 'renewed negotiations' and additional 'painful concessions' by the Jewish State. The core of the conflict is not political, it is a religious war between Islam and Judaism (indeed, between Islam and the entire world).

Not in vain did our torah sages declare: ?Where there is no vision, the people perish.? Israel's leaders must follow the path of King David, who placed his faith in Hashem yitbarach and fearlessly defeated his enemies The path of Camp David fearfully appeases them.

History , tragically, has shown that "unless G-d builds the house, the laborers labor in vain." (from Psalms)
