A man in his 20s was critically wounded on Monday afternoon after being shot in the stomach on Holon's Yaakov Fichman Street.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics rushed the the scene and began performing CPR. They transferred the victim to Wolfson Medical Center, unconscious and on a respirator.
MDA paramedic Doron Salimi said, "A man in his 20s was lying unconscious in the building's lobby. He had suffered a penetration wound to his upper body."
"We administered lifesaving first aid at the scene, and transferred him via ambulance to the hospital, while continuing to provide medical treatment. We stopped the bleeding and put him on a respirator.
"The doctors are still fighting to save his life."
Israel Police estimate that the incident is criminal, and not terror-related.
