Municipal supervisors in Haifa reported dangling gas canisters to the city's Supervision and Safety Department.
The canisters were found hanging from an apartment building in the city.
As a result, city officials arrived to investigate the complaint, and ordered the residents to immediately remove the safety hazard.
The next day, a licensed technician arrived and affixed all the gas canisters to the ground, as is the law, removing the threat that the canisters might fall and explode.
"Gas used for cooking and heating is not a toy," the Energy Ministry said. "It needs to be handled carefully and safely. The proper installation of gas canisters in every building needs to be done professionally and checked by a licensed technician, in order to prevent future tragedies."
