Residents of Netiv Ha'avot in Elazar, Gush Etziyon are demonstrating this morning (Sunday) opposite the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem during a meeting, demanding that the Prime Minister halt the destruction of Netiv Ha'avot.

The residents demand that the Prime Minister immediately approve the neighborhood's 17 homes and find alternative solutions for those whose homes may be demolished.

Members of Netiv Ha'avot noted that since the Supreme Court's decision to demolish the neighborhood, no solution has been forthcoming, and neither has there been contact with residents of the neighborhood who are beginning to understand that, in a few months, they may find themselves without shelter.

Ami Gvirtzman, a Nativ Ha'avot resident, reacted to the Prime Minister's words Thursday that the government would "minimize the damage" in Netiv Ha'avot.

"We ask the Prime Minister not only to minimize damage in Netiv Ha'avot, but to settle the neighborhood and begin building immediately," says Gvirtzman.
