A 40-year-old man was killed on Friday morning after his car flipped, in a lethal traffic accident on Highway 6 heading south, adjacent to the Kiryat Gat interchange.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics rushed to the scene, but they were forced to pronounce the driver's death on site.

"This was a serious accident," said MDA paramedic Roi Hazi. "The car was smashed after it apparently flipped over several times."

"The car's driver was lying on the road unconscious and suffering serious multi-system damage. We tried to give him medical treatment, but his wounds were very serious and we had no choice but to pronounce his death on the ground."

It remains unclear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and send it flipping.

Just an hour or so after the lethal crash on Friday morning another traffic accident occurred, but fortunately no one was wounded.

In the second incident, a car rolled down into a stream adjacent to the town of Tekoa in the Gush Etzion region of Judea.

The stream bank was 15 meters (50 feet) deep, but fortunately the driver was unharmed.
