The Israeli Mission to the UN released a new video on Saturday entitled "United Pianos," in which 11 renowned pianists play around the globe in one seamless musical rendition of Sergei Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf," as part of a call for greater unity worldwide.
The video, which prominently features Israeli music sensation Idan Raichel and was given a "22 hand piano rendition" by composer Tomer Biran, was produced by CRC Media.
Pianists from Israel, Turkey, the US, Vietnam, the Bahama Islands, Germany, India, Australia, Russia, South Africa and Poland took part in "United Pianos."
The selection includes men and women, Jews, Christians, and Muslims - all playing together to celebrate "unity through music."
Also taking part in the collaboration is Meytal Cohen, an Israeli drummer living in Los Angeles who has become a star on YouTube.
Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said, "music can connect and bridge gaps, and create stable groundwork for unity, tolerance and decency."
"The project was created out of a hope for the day in which music will replace the grating sounds of war and argument."
